The East London Mosque Trust's Annual General Meeting (AGM) took place on Saturday 17th July 2010 with a commitment to see through the expansion project in the coming year.

The Secretary, Ayub Khan, described the activities at the East London Mosque and London Muslim Centre in the past year, including the development of the Phase 2 project which is about half way through construction.

The 2009-2010 financial report was presented by the Treasurer, Muhammad Siddique, and unanimously approved by members.

The Chairman, Dr Muhammad Abdul Bari, spoke of a renewed commitment from the Trust to lead the fortnight long fundraising drive for the Phase 2 project. He welcomed new ideas to raise funds and involve our communities in this noble project.

Then the nine Trustees for the coming year were elected as follows:

1. Dr Abdul Hayee Murshad
2. Ahmed Abdel Mohsen Ahmed
3. Ayub Khan
4. Mohammad Abdul Malik
5. Dr Muhammad Abdul Bari
6. Muhammad Habibur Rahman
7. Muhammad Siddique
8. Sirajul Islam
9. Tobaris Ali

Update - The elected Trustees, who form the Management Committee of the ELM Trust, met to choose their Office Bearers for the coming year: Dr Muhammad Abdul Bari carries on his role as Chairman, Muhammad Habibur Rahman will be Secretary, and Sirajul Islam will be Treasurer.
