We love to combine fitness, fundraising and fun! So 30 intrepid people of all ages and walks of life, including mosque staff, trustees, and community leaders, trekked up Mount Snowdon on Saturday 30 June 2018.

This was great challenge on a beautiful summer’s day, with temperatures reaching as high as 27 degrees. The fastest in our group to trek up the highest mountain in Wales was mosque trustee Sirajul Islam, reaching the summit in just under two hours.

Everyone made it to the top! We would like to thank all those who took part and helped raise funds, making our first trek a great success.

Dilowar Khan, Director of Finance & Engagement, spoke of the day’s success: “This was a wonderful experience for all of us, both enjoyable and beneficial. We’ve also managed to raise money to help the East London Mosque. I hope that our next trek will bring even more people together, insha’Allah.”

Our next opportunity for healthy, fun-filled fundraising will be our annual Muslim Charity Run. Now in its 7th year, it is the perfect occasion for men and boys to set themselves the challenge of a 5km run, whilst raising funds for good causes too. Join us on Sunday 9 September 2018 at Victoria Park, London!
