11 May 2021: The Coordination Committee of Mosques and Islamic Centres in London has announced:

Eid al Fitr 1442 is on Thursday 13 May 2021

Our Eid message:

It is a great blessing to be able to celebrate Eid al-Fitr this year, and to hold the special Eid prayers in our Mosques. We pray that it is a joyous and peaceful day for all.

We are mindful that this last year has been difficult for all, and sadly many of our loved ones no longer with us. The signs are promising that gradually life will begin to return to normal, but for now we must remain careful and cautious, abiding by the current rules to ensure that this Eid is safe for all our families and friends.

Tonight (Tuesday) we will hold the last Tarawih prayers for this Ramadan.

Eid al-Fitr prayers

Eid prayers will be held with strict COVID-19 safety measures in place:

  • Wear a face mask, covering both mouth and nose at all times
  • Bring a prayer mat and shoe bag
  • Do wudu (ablutions) before coming to the Mosque

Entry will be from Fieldgate Street only, exiting afterwards onto Whitechapel Road.

We will have five congregations (jamā‘ah):

  • 7:00 AM (Shaykh Abdul Qayum)

  • 8:30 AM (Shaykh Abul Hussain Khan)

  • 9:30 AM (Shaykh Hussain Ibrahim)

  • 10:30 AM (Shaykh Mohammed Mahmoud – with BSL)

  • 11:30 AM (Shaykh Shafiur Rahman)

Zakat al-Fitr

Don’t forget to give Zakat al-Fitr, at least £6 per person for everyone in the family. You can pay your Zakat al-Fitr here.

Could you be one of our Golden Donors?

The Mosque’s dome and minaret caps have reached the end of their lifespan, and need to be replaced. Please help us restore our iconic dome. Click here to find out more and support the Dome Appeal.

Your Mosque needs your support!

The pandemic badly affected the Mosque’s income, so we need your generous donations more than ever. Please give Sadaqah on this blessed day of Eid – may Allah reward you many times over for all that you give for His sake.
