3 Nov 2020 – The Government announced a second lockdown, effective from Thursday 5 November 2020, stipulating that places of worship cannot hold congregational prayers. So, the East London Mosque will be temporarily closed for prayers from this date, until further notice.

The funeral service will of course still be operating. Funeral prayers held by family and friends will be limited to 30 people, in accordance with the lockdown rules.

The ELM full-time primary and secondary schools, and Rainbow Nursery, will still be open. All other services based here will be closed.
