We’ve just taken delivery of a beautiful new observation hive, which can be viewed from the observation area of the Maryam Centre link.

The hive was custom made by Nick Buttle of Peak Hives (archived) , and allows our beekeeper to create multiple configurations as each season progresses. It has viewing panels at every level on two sides, which will give a wonderful window into the workings of the hive.

It’s too late this year to make changes, so the new hive will hopefully be deployed next Spring.
