The East London Mosque Trust is proud to announce the launch of Strategy 2030, a five-year vision shaped through faith, consultation and our shared commitment to serve the community. This strategy marks an important milestone in our journey, honouring a legacy that spans over a century while preparing confidently for the years ahead.

A Strategy Rooted in Community Voices

The development of this strategy was a collaborative effort. Workshops with trustees and staff, interviews with community members, surveys and benchmarking with leading institutions helped shape a shared understanding of ELM's strengths, challenges and opportunities.

This collective process has ensured that Strategy 2030 is grounded in real community experiences and aligned with the aspirations of our diverse congregation.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to every individual who contributed their time, ideas and feedback. Your voices directly informed the direction we now take.

Strategy 2030 is a renewal of the amanah we hold for our community. It strengthens our pledge to serve with sincerity, clarity and purpose, ensuring that the East London Mosque remains a source of guidance, dignity and unity for generations to come. Our Five Strategic Priorities

Strategy 2030 is built upon five core priorities that will guide our work over the next five years.

1. Inspiring through Faith, Knowledge and Leadership

We will enhance structured Islamic education, promote accessible learning, strengthen provision for new Muslims and offer trusted spiritual guidance rooted in our tradition.

2. Enabling and Strengthing Our Communities

Our programmes will continue to support women, youth, families, the elderly and the vulnerable, ensuring inclusive services that empower and nurture community wellbeing.

3. Championing Impactful Change

We aim to strengthen civic engagement, advocacy and representation so that our community has a strong, informed and principled voice in society.

4. Strengthening Financial Sustainability

We will prioritise resilience and responsible financial management to secure our long-term future and broaden income generation opportunities.

5. Delivering Operational Excellence

By investing in governance, leadership development, organisational capacity and digital transformation, we seek to ensure the highest quality of service across all our operations.
