Our location

The East London Mosque is in the heart of the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, between Aldgate and Whitechapel.

The front of the Mosque and adjoining London Muslim Centre face Whitechapel Road, with the rear emerging on Fieldgate Street, where the adjoining Maryam Centre and former Synagogue are situated.

Parking

There is no visitor parking at the Mosque or centre, and roadside parking is extremely limited, so travelling by car is not advised. Transport for London (TfL) have summarised information about driving in London here, and information about parking in Tower Hamlets can be found here.

Nearest Public Transport

Underground: the Mosque and centre are only a short walk from either Aldgate East or Whitechapel underground stations.

Buses: several bus services stop close by on Whitechapel Road (A11): 25, 205, 254. Buses also stop a short distance away on Commercial Road (A13): 15, 115, 135; and on New Road: D3.
