With temperatures in the mid teens, and plenty of sun, the bees are already active, even though it's only February. The beekeeper has been active too, making an early start for the new season's preparations.

All the hives appear to be strong, with the bees flying well. Pollen is being brought in, and the Queens have restarted laying.

Of course, it's still early in the year, so cold weather could well return.

The photo below shows all the hives on the roof.

The bees were very active, clearly making the most of this morning's bright sun.

Finally, tucked in the corner of the roof a new tower had appeared:

No bees in here, though – this is just ready for expansion during the coming months.
