News & Islam News Bridging Faiths: St Paul’s Cathedral Dean Visits ELM 17 September 2024 The East London Mosque welcomed the Very Reverend Andrew Tremlett, Dean of St Paul’s Cathedral, for a visit today. Leaders from both institutions engaged in discussions on interfaith dialogue and potential collaborations. ELM CEO Junaid Ahmed and Chairman Abdul-Hayee Murshad hosted the Dean on a tour of the mosque, showcasing key features including the golden dome, the Phase Three extension, and the Al-Hambra wall, which honours the Mosque’s donors. “This visit allowed us to share our work and discuss potential cooperation between our institutions,” said Junaid Ahmed. Both parties exchanged insights on their work with refugees, discussed the challenges faced by faith institutions, and explored opportunities for future cooperation. “We appreciated the opportunity to meet with the Dean of St Paul’s. Our conversation covered shared challenges of faith-based institutions and potential future collaboration,” added Abdul-Hayee Murshad. Reverend Tremlett invited ELM leadership to visit St Paul’s Cathedral to continue the dialogue.
