Eid ul-Adha 2014-1435 Announcement

The 1st of Dhū Al-Hijjah 1435 is Thursday 25th September 2014. The day of Arafat is on Friday 3rd October 2014.

According to scholars of the Qur’an, the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah are significant enough for Allah to swear by them.

Describing how these ten days are among the best, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “There are no days on which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these ten days.” They said: “Not even jihad for the sake of Allah?” He said: “Not even jihad for the sake of Allah, unless a man goes out himself for jihad taking his wealth with him and does not come back with anything.” [Bukhari, 2/457]

Eid ul-Adha, will be on Saturday 4th October 2014, insha'Allah. Eid prayers at the East London Mosque will be held at:

8.00 AM – Shaykh Abdul Qayum
9.00 AM – Imam Abu Tayeb
10.00 AM – Imam Abul Hussain Khan
11.00AM – Imam Shafiur Rahman
12.00 PM – Imam Hussain Ibrahim
