The East London Mosque is keeping its closure under constant review. Although the number of new cases in Tower Hamlets is starting to fall, it is still very high, and significantly above the national average. Sadly, we’re having to deal with death from COVID-19 on a daily basis.

The mosque will remain closed for the time being, whilst we keep a close eye on the local situation.

Our thoughts and prayers continue to be for all those who are battling the illness, and for the families of those who have suffered a bereavement.

Keep your Masjid’s services alive

The Prophet ﷺ said “Give charity without delay for it stands in the way of calamity.” [Tirmidhi]

In this time of hardship, we strive to help all we can. You can get a share of the reward too by supporting us and all of our various activities. We are living in a time of uncertainty, so perhaps because of your donation for the sake of Allah to His House, Allah will relieve a difficulty you are facing or may be testing with in future insha’Allah.

May Allah relieve the difficulties of all those who are suffering from any hardship, and may He bring ease upon them and shower His mercy on all.
