The East London Mosque organised a range of popular activities for families during the holiday period.

On 24 December, we held a children’s talent show, and were delighted at the amazing performances. From Nasheeds and short speeches, to recitation of the Holy Qur’an, the diversity of talent on display was truly impressive. The energy and enthusiasm of the young participants was inspiring, and the audience was thoroughly entertained.

To show appreciation, we gave gifts to winners, and every participant received a specially made medal and certificate. We are really grateful to all the boys and girls who took part, they really made it a wonderful occasion.

The main hall in the London Muslim Centre hosted a range of free activities for children, such as a bouncy castle and football shoot.

There were also talks, in English by our Imam, Shaykh Muzzammil Ahmed, and in Bangla by our Head Imam, Shaykh Abdul Qayum and a guest.

The programme continued on 26 December, focussed more on youth, again with activities for children in the LMC hall, and inspirational talks for young people.

The final day of the programme, on 27 December, was a range of talks and activities especially for women and girls.
