As the UK general election approaches on July 4, 2024, the East London Mosque would like to emphasise the importance of civic engagement and democratic participation.

We strongly believe that every eligible member of our congregation should exercise their right to vote, as it is a crucial means of making our collective voice heard and shaping the future of our community and the nation.

As a Voter Registration Champion in partnership with Citizens UK, the East London Mosque is committed to facilitating the democratic process and ensuring that every member of our community has the opportunity to participate.

Don't miss the crucial deadline! To be eligible to vote, you must register by 11:59 pm on Tuesday, 18 June 2024.

We strongly urge all eligible individuals to complete their registration before this cutoff date to ensure their voices are heard in the upcoming election.

To register, please visit the official UK government website at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote and complete the registration process by providing the necessary details.

On election day, July 4, 2024, we urge you to cast your vote and make a meaningful contribution to the direction of our country. You’ll need to show a photo ID when voting in person.

Your vote is a powerful tool to advocate for the issues that matter most to our community, such as social justice, inequality, decline in living standards, and religious freedom.

We also kindly request that you encourage your family members, friends, and neighbours to register and participate in the upcoming election. By working together, we can amplify our collective voice and create a more inclusive, just, and prosperous society for all.

As a faith community, we have a responsibility to actively engage in the democratic process and work towards positive change.

For general guidance, the East London Mosque has established information stalls in the London Muslim Centre and the Maryam Centre. We encourage you to visit these stalls to obtain more information.

Let us seize this opportunity to be heard and to shape the future of our community.

As a mosque and charity, the East London Mosque does not endorse or promote any candidate or party.
