Islam Awareness Course 2026

Our most popular course to date, Islam Awareness Course is designed to provide a foundational understanding of the faith for non-Muslims. It serves as a stepping stone for learners eager to delve deeper into various Islamic subjects.

The day is set in the Visitors’ Gallery and led by qualified Instructors.

The Programme includes a Welcome and Tour of the Mosque facilities, Introduction to Islam, Challenging Assumptions, A Short Introduction to Shari’ah (Islamic Law) and Q&A.

Participants are provided a Course Handbook, Translation of the Quran, free flowing refreshments throughout the day and a hot lunch.

Enrol onto one of the following courses to further your learning of Islam and Muslims.

The dates are:

1. Wednesday 15th July | 9.15am to 4.30pm. Deadline to register by: 13th July
   
   
2. Wednesday 18th November | 9.15am to 4.30pm. Deadline to register by: 16th Nov

Fee: £60 per person, per course

Terms & Conditions

1. We occasionally take photographs of our services to share with a wider audience. This may include anyone who visits our premises. Such photographs may be used by the East London Mosque Trust in newsletters, leaflets, posters, brochures, broadcast and internet media.

2. As a religious institution and place of worship, both male and female visitors are requested to observe modest dress: Avoid see-through, revealing and low cut clothing. Please do not wear shorts, short skirts or short dresses. If you visit the carpeted prayer areas you will need to take off your shoes, and female visitors should cover their head

3. We collect personal information during registration to process your entry and manage the regitration. Your data will be handled in accordance with relevant privacy standards.
