Thursday 22nd August 2019 – Congratulations to the students of our secondary school, the London East Academy, on their excellent GCSE grades.

  • 85% of students achieved grades 5-9 including English and Maths
  • 85% of students achieved 5-9 English Baccalaureate (EBacc)*
  • 30% of students achieved grades 8-9 including English and Maths
  • 100% of students in Physics/Biology and Chemistry achieved grades 5-9
  • 85% of students achieved A/A* in the Islamic subject disciplines

One student achieved eight grade 9s and two grade 8s, placing him in the top 1% of the highest achievers in the country.

Headteacher of London East Academy, Askor Ali, praised their achievements:

Our students have achieved exceptional results for the fourth year in a row. It shows our combination of National Curriculum and Islamic subjects is producing the high-achieving British Muslims of tomorrow. Congratulations to the students for their hard work and the teachers at London East Academy for enabling the students to reach their potential.
