The ELM Youth Hub recently held ‘Mighty Muslimahs’, a programme that brought together young girls for an evening of faith, learning and sisterhood.

The event included a series of workshops on the lives of the Sahabiyyat, the female companions of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Through discussions and reflective activities, the girls explored the courage, strength and dedication of these remarkable women, and learned how their examples continue to inspire Muslim women today.

Alongside the workshops, participants enjoyed activities and games that helped create a welcoming and relaxed environment. The programme combined learning with opportunities for the girls to build friendships, enjoy time together and grow in confidence while strengthening their connection to Islamic history and values.

The event ended with a shared iftar meal, where everyone came together to break their fast during the blessed month of Ramadan. This offered a thoughtful close to the programme and reinforced the sense of unity and sisterhood among those attending.

The ELM Youth Hub, a project of the East London Mosque Trust, supports young people through programmes that nurture faith, personal development and community engagement. Events such as Mighty Muslimahs give young girls valuable opportunities to learn, connect and grow in a supportive setting.
