Community Gathers for Sisters’ Qur’an Revision Day at ELM 27 August 2025 The East London Mosque (ELM) community came together for a spiritually uplifting Qur’an Revision Day, designed exclusively for sisters. The event brought together 55 participants and 34 dedicated teachers, uniting in a full-day programme centred on the recitation and reflection of the Holy Qur’an. Hosted at the Maryam Centre, the day began at 5:30am with registration, followed by a welcoming introduction at 6:00am. The programme included three Recital Sessions, giving attendees the chance to connect deeply with the Qur’an in an atmosphere of devotion and reflection. A Remarkable Milestone Over the course of the day, a total of 472 Ajzā’ (Juz’) of the Qur’an were recited, including four complete khatms (completions) by students. The programme ended with a closing ceremony that recognised the efforts of both students and teachers, and highlighted the sense of unity and achievement that the day had brought. We would like to thank the Qur’an Revision Project for their support in making this important initiative possible, which continues to strengthen the community’s connection to The Book of Allah.
