ELM’s Exciting New Initiative: Evening Madrasah Open Days 26 May 2025 In an exciting new initiative, the East London Mosque (ELM) hosted its first-ever Open Days for the Evening Madrasah last weekend. Over the two days, we welcomed parents and children, many stepping into the Evening Madrasah for the very first time. Families had the opportunity to explore the madrasah, meet the teachers, and experience first-hand the engaging learning environment their children could soon be part of. Parents heard directly from the Headteacher about the aims of the madrasah, the structure of the weekly timetable, and the carefully designed syllabus that combines traditional Islamic knowledge with values that support young people growing up in today’s world. Staff were on hand to answer questions and speak to families about how the madrasah supports children’s learning and spiritual development. Most importantly, the Open Days were about welcoming the community, making the madrasah more accessible, more connected, and more open to every family in our area. Due to the positive response, two more Open Days have now been scheduled on Thursday 12th and Friday 13th June 2025, from 5PM to 7PM. We’re looking forward to welcoming families once again. The upcoming dates are a great opportunity for anyone considering enrolment to see what the Evening Madrasah is all about. Imam Shaykh Syed Anisul Haque shared his thoughts on the initiative: This is a wonderful step forward. We want every parent to feel confident and involved in their child’s Islamic education. The Open Days are just the beginning, it’s about building strong relationships and helping our children grow with knowledge, manners, love for their deen and giving back to the community. We warmly invite all parents and carers to come along to the upcoming dates, meet our team, and be part of the journey. Manage Cookie Preferences
