On Sunday 10th November 2024, eighteen enthusiastic riders embarked on the annual Ride 4 Your Mosque event, cycling from the East London Mosque to Cambridge. The day was filled with scenic landscapes, camaraderie, and a shared purpose of raising funds to support ELM’s community services and development projects.

Departing at 8am sharp from the Mosque, the group cycled through quiet B-roads for the most part, allowing them to take in the beautiful autumnal views. With weather mostly in their favour, riders experienced just a few light showers, which did little to dampen their spirits. The route featured three scheduled break stops, and the first group completed the journey within four hours. The event emphasised unity amongst the riders, with participants divided into three groups led by experienced cyclists, making it accessible to riders of various fitness levels.

To ensure a smooth experience, a support vehicle along with volunteers accompanied the cyclists, providing assistance when needed. Each rider displayed remarkable determination and dedication, as they cycled not just for fitness, but to contribute to a cause close to the community’s heart.

Watching our supporters cycle from the East London Mosque to Cambridge, all to benefit the Mosque, fills us with immense pride and gratitude.
