The annual event, known for its warm atmosphere and uplifting spirit, reached full capacity a week in advance, even after additional spaces were released in response to strong demand The hall was arranged with elegant touches that set the tone for an afternoon dedicated to celebration, connection, and reflection. Sisters from across the community came together in a setting that highlighted the beauty of unity, shared purpose, and mutual support. Attendees enjoyed the opportunity to reconnect, build new friendships, and take time out from their routines to engage in a space created solely for them. This year’s programme offered a rich variety of activities, including a keynote address delivered by guest speaker Naaema Ali, who encouraged guests to draw inspiration from the lives of the noble Sahabiyats, including Khadija (RA), Aysha (RA) and Fatimah (RA), may Allah be pleased with them. Her reminder about their strength, wisdom, and devotion resonated deeply with the audience, offering practical lessons on faith, resilience, and service. Guests enjoyed sampling a range of teas, bottomless refills, accompanied by delightful savoury bites prepared with care by volunteers. The afternoon was filled with energy as sisters took part in games, a lively quiz, that helped create a warm and welcoming atmosphere, with winners receiving special prizes. A special fundraising and auction segment invited attendees to support the Mosque’s ongoing projects, as well as humanitarian assistance for those affected in Palestine and Sudan. The generosity shown reflects the continued commitment of our community to stand with those in need, near and far. Sufia Alam, Head of Programmes, commented: We were truly overwhelmed by the response from the community. Seeing so many sisters come together for this amazing gathering was both heart-warming and inspiring Tozommul Ali, Fundraising Manager for the Mosque, added: Tickets sold out within a week of publicity, and the funds raised will support our ongoing programmes, especially the New Muslim Support service and the emergency relief in Palestine and Sudan. This would not have been possible without our incredible sponsors, volunteers, and staff, and I thank them all for their tireless work in making this event a success The event also awarded a prize for style and creativity through a best-dressed competition, adding an element of glamour to the party. This event was a testament to the strength and unity of our sisters. With Allah’s grace, the ELM Sisters' Tea Party continues to be one of the Mosque’s most cherished annual gatherings, bringing hearts together in faith, joy, and solidarity.
