A new dedicated space for young people opens with strong community response and an exciting Ramadan programme ahead

The East London Mosque officially opened the ELM Youth Hub on 9th February 2026, providing a new space designed to support young people across the community.

The Hub offers a welcoming environment where young people can relax, refresh, and renew their relationship with Allah while developing confidence, character, and purpose. Designed to nurture both spiritual growth and personal development, it provides a safe and engaging setting tailored to the needs of youth.

Successful Pre-Launch Winter Family Convention

Ahead of its official launch, the Youth Hub team hosted a Winter Family Convention featuring two highly successful pre-launch events:

  • Winter Talent Show – Attracting over 30 attendees and nearly 100 applications, the event showcased a wealth of young talent and creativity from across the community.
  • The Youth Escape – A vibrant and interactive experience attended by 46 participants, with an impressive 70 applications received.

The strong response highlighted the clear demand for structured, faith-centred youth activities and demonstrated the enthusiasm of young people eager to engage.

Exciting Ramadan Programme

Building on this momentum, the ELM Youth Hub has announced a series of four special Ramadan events designed to strengthen faith, friendship, and fun during the blessed month:

  • Know Your Prophet Youth Adventure (Half-Term Special)
  • Ramadan Social (Two separate gatherings)
  • Eid Party Celebration

These events will provide meaningful opportunities for young people to deepen their understanding of Islamic teachings while building lasting bonds within a supportive environment.

A Vision for the Future

The launch of the ELM Youth Hub represents a continued commitment by the East London Mosque to invest in the next generation. By combining engaging activities with spiritual enrichment, the Hub seeks to empower young Muslims with a strong sense of identity, resilience, and purpose.
